Matt Douglas, saxophone player and multi-instrumentalist for the Mountain Goats and The Hot at Nights, is releasing a solo album called Affirmation (with Discomfort). It’s the story of a burgeoning relationship, full of uncertainty and repetition, told instrumentally with woodwinds. On June 10th, Matt will be playing this music live, but reinterpreted as a full band featuring Joe Westerlund on drums and Alex Bingham on bass, plus special guests.
