King's Raleigh

Gudiya is an experimental musician, visual artist, DJ and curator born and based in Raleigh, NC. Through the careful reconstruction of childhood songs, South Asian samples, and heavy-hitting club tracks, she is archiving her life as an angry brown girl living in the south. Gudiya’s live performances pair evocative visuals with her sound collage work, taking the audience down a mesmerizing wormhole. With her involvement in community organizations and her new queer rave series, she is working to make electronic music more accessible to people of marginalized identities, not only through representation, but also through workshops, shared resources, and party spaces.
