Forged in the “Gunshine State”, aka Florida, Chain Gang started off as a “just for fun” project by founding members TJ & D Rock, in late 2020. For almost 2 years, the duo casually wrote and tracked songs, with the intention of eventually putting them out there to see what happens. Fast forward a couple years, and with the creative collaboration of Hunter Young & Brandan Lopez of Moodring/Digital Ghost Audio & Dusty Simpson of the band Two-Piece, the duo independently released their debut 3-song promo, entitled “Invincible Demon Soldiers” in November 2022. In almost no time, the release went viral and demand for the band to play live became undeniable. Shortly after, the band released their debut EP “Florida Fight Music” and embarked on their first tour in early 2023. With a successful first tour under their belt, Chain Gang pushed forward playing locally, steadily releasing music, and growing their fan base. Eventually, Chain Gang solidified the line-up with ex Pure Bliss drummer Tom Towner, and later on, good friend Sal Ingianne on bass. In 2024, the band released the viral single “Stolen Valor”, in collaboration with PeelingFlesh, which to dates had almost 1 million streams. Chain Gang has toured with Escuela Grind, Bodybox, Boltcutter, Pure Bliss, and others, furthering their demand and popularity. Chain Gang continues to be a force to be reckoned with, making waves, and destroying crowds like no other. All in just under 3 years of being an actual band. As their song “Homicidal Thoughts” says: This is Chain Gang’s world. Y’all just living in it!”
