Sahba is an Iranian musician currently based in California. His love affair with sound began at age 12, upon hearing The John Coltrane Quartet for the first time. Drums were his first instrument and led to performances with Peter Brotzmann, Miho Hatori (Cibo Matto), Mary Halvorson, Marc Ribot, and Sophia Knapp. He has recorded with bands on the imprints of Dischord Records, Southern Lord, and Drag City. Sahba launched his solo project recently, where he primarily plays 104-string custom Persian santour.

Sijal Nasralla is a multi-instrumentalist, filmmaker, and community organizer most known for DUNUMS, a music, multi-media, and collaborative performance project led by Nasralla since 2009.
Based in NC, shifting players and contributors to DUNUMS have recorded, performed, and created in direct response to events commonly known as “summer in Gaza” or “revolution in Syria.” Nasralla envisions his work and creativity as inextricable from his rooted histories in Palestine as well as his assimilations into the american south.
