Based out of the Triangle region of North Carolina, Ravary is the solo-with-friends project of Anglo-Quebecois multi-instrumentalist Justin Ravary Ellis. Consisting of songs written at home over the course of 4 years of playing and touring as a sideman in some of the southeast’s hardest-working indie bands (Easter Island, Happy Abandon, Al Riggs, Table Tennis Dreamer), the music of Ravary is an exercise in self-actualization. The songs mark Ellis’ first sung and recorded output in nearly five years, and first-ever collection of songs composed entirely alone. Equally suited for solo acoustic performance, or leading a large cast of rotating players that changes the flavor of the underlying songs from Arcade Fire-inspired folk explosions to reverb-drenched, guitar-heavy soundscapes reminiscent of DIIV and Echo & The Bunnymen, Ellis’ music explores family, loss, and all the realities and joys that come with living out your twenties exactly the way desired.
When not performing or touring, Ellis resides in Carrboro, NC, where he teaches children of all ages how to make music of their own.

Dogwood Lung is an atmospheric rock band from Alabama. Having quickly risen to be one of the most exciting acts in Birmingham’s vibrant music scene while appearing on lineups alongside bands such as Michael Nau & The Mighty Thread and Caroline Says, Dogwood Lung now releases their second EP: Forgetting. Their music incorporates instrumental elements from post-rock and dream pop while intimate and evocative lyrics imbue the songs with structure and emotional depth.
