The long anticipated arrive of DL ZENE is here. DL ZENE is a songstress, musician and a writer who’s also known for her background arrangements and vocals. She has shared the stage with various artist such as Maxwell, Anthony Hamilton, Tasha Cobbs, Chrisette Michele, Common and Rapsody. She has toured with Niito and recorded with Zoocru, as well as countless artist and bands in the triangle area. Her songs “We Fall” and “Human” have become staples in her sound, leaving a mark on many that hear. Her debut single “Fallin” is scheduled to release December 28th.
As a young child she learned how to play the piano which led to the development of her musical ear. She’s an artist standing on the foundation and sound of multiple genres, such as gospel, jazz, classical, R&B, and soul. She channels the great Ella Fitzgerald’s ear for instrumentalist, and draws inspiration from the musical choices of Lalah Hathaway. Studying music and having aspiration to be a musical therapist molded her belief to heal the world through the sound of music. She learned as an adolescent that everyone wasn’t capable of finding the joy of music and what it can do to the energy in your life. She believes that experience is priceless and ultimately vital to the developing years of the youth and lost adults. This is why she’s able to pour her gift into others passionately and unquestionably.
