Hailing from the vibrant music scene of Cincinnati, Ohio, Coastal Club is an indie pop sensation known for their infectious guitar-driven hooks and uplifting, high-spirited anthems. The band consists of drummer David McGuire, lead guitarist and vocalist Avery Benter, and lead singer and guitarist, Alex Hirlinger. Drawing from influences like Young the Giant and COIN, Coastal Club exudes a refreshing sense of optimism and joy through their music, while creating a sonic landscape that is both electrifying and comforting. Though based in landlocked Ohio, there is a longing for the coast found in their romantic, lighthearted, and beachy melodies.

DEAF ANDREWS
Website | Youtube | Bandcamp | Spotify | Instagram | Facebook
Conceived in the daydreams of adolescence, Deaf Andrews has blossomed from their roots, into a unique sonic flower of indie pop rock. It is the product of five best friends from Charlotte, NC making music that means something to them. Consisting of Nick Hayes (Vocals), Mike Sherrard (guitar), Ross Schumann (bass), Andrew Kingsley (guitar) and Braedon Nelson (drums).

Deaf Andrews has continued to push their personal limits of creativity and emotional tuneness. Making it a priority to capture some of the magic energy that fuels their live shows, the sound is organic, direct, and channels the essence of true rock and roll while also exploring the experimental freedom of modern indie pop. The band has released two singles in 2023: “Phone Line” which harkens back to the youthful bliss experienced during the formative years of life; and “Just Not Right” which delves into the fickle nature of modern love. Catchy guitar layers and smooth tones are complemented with rousing lyrics that underscore feelings of love, recklessness, and comfort.

THE UPSIDES

The Upsides are an indie rock act based in New York City, consisting of brothers Matt and Dan Fullam with longtime friends Matt DaSilva, Hart Mechlin and Pat Freeman. The band creates a distinct blend of “shimmering surf rock” (Our Sound Music) paired with more overdriven guitar work reminiscent of the early aughts rock revival. The result is a sound that is “accessible, unique, and timeless” (Glide Magazine).

“Jump In,” the first single from their debut 2024 album, was described by Will Oliver of We All Want Someone to Shout For as “channelling elements of classic New York City rock with a garage rock sensibility, with 90s jangle pop and rock guitar work that feels like a blend of The Strokes and Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever. It’s impossible to resist its delightful nature and charm.”

The band is currently at work on its second album, set to be released later in 2025 following a spring east coast tour.
