Come hear Ligon GT Magnet Middle School’s celebrated Jazz Ensemble as they prepare to head to Chicago in December to participate in the Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic. In its 73 years the Ligon Jazz Ensemble is only the 4th North Carolina Band to receive this distinction and one of only two middle school bands in the country invited this year. The band has been playing throughout Raleigh all summer and fall both to raise money and to gain invaluable performance experience. Proceeds from ticket sales will support the Ligon Jazz Ensemble.
