Dwayne Jordan is a drummer, arranger and composer from Charlotte, North Carolina. He has shared the stage with Grammy-award-wining producer 9th Wonder and Grammy-nominated jazz percussionist Joe Chambers. Jordan is currently attending NCCU, working on a master’s degree in Jazz Studies in Performance. He also teaches music lessons at Bull City Music School.
Jeanne Michelle Askew is a percussionist and audio engineer from Charlotte, NC, where she currently resides. She is the band-leader for avant-jazz/ noise rock act Skewed Collective, and also makes duo and solo works under the Skewed moniker. Incorporating electronics and drum synthesizers into her percussion setup, JM, alongside Jody Mattiacci on electronics, will be performing all new improvisational works that incorporate elements of techno, industrial, noise, and free improv music.
RESONANCY is an ongoing performance series that explores the vast and evolving landscape of percussion-centric music and arts.
