Last stretch for the Great Cover Up 2023… here are our final charities of the year!

The Independent Restaurant Coalition (@indprestaurants) was formed in 2020 by the restaurant and bar community to save their/our venues and the 11+ million people we employ. The IRC advocates for independent hospitality businesses on a federal level and aims to create positive policy change so that independent operators in this industry can be heard, supported, and run profitable businesses.

On Saturday, we’ll be closing this year out by supporting @emancipate.nc. This organization targets structural racism, and the ways the legacy of slavery limits Black folks’ access to quality education, jobs and benefits. They are fighting to stop the disproportionate incarceration of Black folks, end youth confinement, and obtain necessary bail reforms. They also offer assistance to families who suffer in our broken foster care system, provide activists assistance with legal defense, and facilitate community and education networks.

Once again - we are grateful to those organisations and to you all for your help in supporting them (and us!). Let’s do this one more time. Doors at 7pm tomorrow night!!
